The Aretha Franklin Project is an initiative that aims to create high quality jazz combo arrangements of Aretha Franklin’s music, which will be available to anyone across the world through Sheet Music Plus. I’m really proud of the project, because not only does it ensure Aretha’s music gets into the hands of more people, but it adds to the unfortunately small library of music written or arranged for jazz combo groups. I hope that the AF Project is merely a small step into a much larger project, to arrange and distribute even more small jazz ensemble sheet music for even more artists.
